My Practice

My practice is an energetic body approach to Shiatsu, a Japanese therapeutic technique based on traditional Chinese medicine and Zen philosophy. I view human beings as organic entities that are part of nature.

Although my approach focuses on meridians—the energy lines whose blockages can affect health—my method is holistic. It also extends to fascia, muscles, bones, and organs, and incorporates deep stretching and massage techniques.

My practice is also enriched by complementary techniques such as ampuku, sokuastu, craniosacral and osteothai... It is based on a helping relationship based on empathy, respect and co-responsibility.

I apply pressure to correct energy imbalances. The term "Shiatsu" literally means "finger pressure." This pressure is applied primarily with the fingers, but sometimes also with the palms of the hands, elbows, knees, and feet.

My main therapeutic objective is to restore the body's energy circulation to restore balance to the body and mind, promoting self-healing abilities.

My approach is essentially preventative. It's ideal for improving circulation, reducing tension, managing stress, boosting the immune system, and is an excellent support, particularly for athletic performance, as well as during seasonal changes, increased activity, or times of stress.

A true art of touch, shiatsu promotes a caring and restorative touch in a helping relationship. It allows the recipient to maintain his or her personal balance and to better manage the circumstances that destabilize his or her life, especially for people in difficult situations.
